FedEx Express, a global leader in express transportation, recently reinforced its commitment to nurturing future talent by hosting its annual Career Camp in collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand Foundation (ATF). This initiative, held at the AIA Training Center, is meticulously designed to equip final-year undergraduates in Thailand with essential career skills, enhancing their professional trajectory as they prepare to enter the workforce and explore potential Fedex Career paths.
Twenty bright students hailing from twelve distinguished universities across Thailand participated in this year’s immersive program. The FedEx Career Camp delivered hands-on training across crucial professional domains, guided by experienced FedEx mentors. A key component of the four-day camp was dedicated to practical skill-building, including workshops focused on crafting compelling resumes that stand out to potential employers and simulated job interview sessions. These mock interviews, expertly conducted by FedEx human resources professionals, provided invaluable real-world experience and constructive feedback to the students, boosting their confidence and interview prowess for future FedEx career opportunities and beyond.
Tien-Long Woon, Managing Director of FedEx Express Thailand and Malaysia, emphasized FedEx’s dedication to developing the next generation of leaders through its FedEx Cares Global Entrepreneurship pillar. “We are proud to support this impactful career development program for the eleventh consecutive year,” Woon stated. “The FedEx Career Camp exemplifies our commitment to addressing the social and economic needs of local communities. Parichat Khuanmateta, a final-year student from Khon Kaen University, shared her transformative experience at the camp. “The FedEx Career Camp broadened my perspective significantly, helping me recognize diverse FedEx career possibilities and other paths that can lead to future success,” she remarked. “The simulated job interview session, facilitated by HR professionals from leading companies, was particularly insightful. It allowed me to pinpoint areas for improvement and refine my performance, which is crucial as I explore various FedEx career options and opportunities in other leading organizations.”
To date, the FedEx Career Camp has positively impacted over 513 students from universities throughout Thailand, equipping them with vital skills for a successful transition into the professional world and preparing many for potential FedEx career paths.
