TUCSON, Ariz., Sept. 16, 2024 – Northwest Healthcare, a prominent integrated healthcare network, announced today a definitive agreement for its subsidiary, Northwest Urgent Care, LLC, to acquire 10 urgent care centers in the Tucson area from Carbon Health. This strategic acquisition is projected to finalize in the fourth quarter of this year and will significantly expand Northwest Healthcare’s network to over 80 locations of care.
“This acquisition of Carbon Health Urgent Care centers is a pivotal step in our growth strategy, enhancing our capacity and establishing a more extensive network of accessible care points for individuals throughout the Tucson market, close to their homes and workplaces,” stated Brian Sinotte, Market CEO of Northwest Healthcare. “These 10 Carbon Health urgent care locations have been instrumental in providing convenient, high-quality urgent care services to over 114,000 patients in 2023. Integrating them into our network will not only strengthen our operational capabilities but also amplify our positive impact on the health and well-being of the community we serve.”
Northwest Healthcare has demonstrated a strong commitment to the Greater Tucson area, investing approximately $200 million over the past five years in strategic growth and capital improvement projects. These investments are aimed at enhancing healthcare accessibility for patients and community members and include the development of new hospitals, medical office buildings in Sahuarita and Houghton, multiple ambulatory surgery centers, urgent care facilities, and physician clinics. Notably, Northwest Healthcare recently inaugurated a new urgent care center, Northwest Urgent Care at Houghton, located at 7375 S. Houghton Road, Suite #115, on Friday, September 13, further solidifying their dedication to expanding healthcare access.
