The Easterseals Rehabilitation Center, with the generous sponsorship of Old National Bank, has announced the successful conclusion of its annual “Cool Car, Cold Cash” raffle. The announcement was made via Facebook Live on Friday, July 26th, at noon from the organization’s headquarters located at 3701 Bellemeade Ave, Evansville.
This year’s raffle, which offered participants the chance to win a cool car or cash, saw significant community engagement. A total of 2,839 tickets were sold between May 22nd and July 24th, 2024. Priced at $50 each, or a discounted rate of three for $100, the raffle successfully captured the attention of many eager to support a worthy cause while hoping to drive away with a fantastic prize.
Fundraising Success for Easterseals
The “Cool Car, Cold Cash” raffle proved to be a significant fundraising achievement for Easterseals, generating an estimated net proceed of $73,681. This year’s success adds to the impressive legacy of the annual raffle, which has now raised a cumulative total of $1,849,849 since its inception in 2000.
Easterseals expressed profound gratitude to all ticket purchasers and sponsors for their invaluable contributions to this year’s fundraising endeavor. The funds raised through initiatives like the “Cool Car, Cold Cash” raffle are vital. They directly support the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center’s commitment to providing essential therapy services. These services, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy, audiology, and psychology, are offered on a sliding fee scale, ensuring that individuals in need receive the care they require, regardless of their financial circumstances. A significant portion of Easterseals’ clients rely on financial assistance to access these crucial services.
The integrity of the raffle was meticulously maintained with oversight from Kemper CPA Group accountants, who verified all ticket sales and assisted with the drawing process. Special thanks were extended to Easterseals Board Member, Chad Grunow, for conducting the drawing of the winning tickets.
