When to Apply for Enrollment at Apollo Career Center
The application window for Apollo Career Center opens on Initial Enrollment Day, which falls on the second Tuesday in February. While you can complete the online application prior to this date, doing so allows your high school counselor ample time to submit your transcript to Apollo by the deadline. Applications are accepted online after Initial Enrollment Day and throughout the summer leading up to the school year. However, applying early is highly recommended, as some popular programs may develop waiting lists as the application period progresses. Applying early to Apollo Career Center maximizes your chances of securing a spot in your preferred program.
Why Choose Two Program Options When Applying to Apollo Career Center?
When you apply to Apollo Career Center, you have the opportunity to select two program choices. This strategic option enhances your chances of enrollment. If your first-choice program is full, but your second choice has available spots, you will be enrolled in your second-choice program and placed on a waiting list for your first preference. Should a spot become available in your first-choice program, and you are next on the waiting list, you will be promptly notified of the program change. Program changes can be accommodated through the second week of the school year, offering flexibility as you begin your studies at Apollo Career Center.
Balancing Extracurriculars with Apollo Career Center Programs
Apollo Career Center understands the importance of a well-rounded high school experience. We encourage students to remain active in extracurricular activities at their home high schools while attending Apollo. To facilitate this, schedules can be arranged for early release to allow students to return to their high school for band or other end-of-day classes. Conversely, schedules can also be adjusted for late arrival to accommodate participation in band or classes at the beginning of the day at your home high school. Participation in after-school sports and extracurricular activities at your home high school is also readily achievable. It’s crucial to collaborate with your high school counselor to align your schedules before starting at Apollo Career Center. Students enrolled in College Credit Plus (CCP) programs can also successfully attend Apollo, demonstrating our commitment to flexible scheduling and diverse student interests.
