From London’s vibrant streets to Beverly Hills’ sun-drenched avenues, Alex Manos’ journey mirrors his deep-seated passion for classic cars. Growing up immersed in a creative household, with a music journalist father and a music publicist mother, Manos’ fascination with vintage automobiles was ignited by the distinctive charm of his family’s 1960s Volvos. Today, as the owner of the renowned Beverly Hills Car Club, Manos has transformed his childhood passion into a thriving enterprise, celebrated for its dedication to classic vehicles and exceptional service.
Manos’ early appreciation for classic cars blossomed during quintessential English Sunday drives. He fondly recalls family outings in his father’s green Volvo Amazon and his mother’s cream 1966 Volvo 1800S Coupe with red leather interiors. “My dad drove me to school in the Amazon, singing The Clash, and my mom picked me up, belting out Whitney Houston,” he reminisces. “People adored those cars, often leaving notes expressing their admiration and interest in buying them.” In 1995, his mother, driven by ambition and resilience, relocated the family to Beverly Hills, seeking new opportunities. This pivotal move laid the groundwork for Manos’ future in the classic car industry. Little did he know, acquiring his first classic car, a 1962 Lincoln Continental, would set him on an extraordinary path, culminating in the establishment of the Beverly Hills Car Club.
