I learned these skills at the University of Cincinnati in my classes in Interpersonal Communication, Public/Persuasive Speaking, and Communication Theory.”
He specifically credits professors like Dr. Evan Griffin and Dr. MJ Woeste, among others, for inspiring him to excel in interpersonal communication. Ballman highlights the direct application of his UC education in his daily work, from leading in-depth compensation training sessions for Kroger business partners to earning the prestigious Kroger HR Star Award, which recognizes high-performing human resources associates. “A large part of why I earned this award can be tied to the foundational skills I learned as a UC student, most importantly using interpersonal communication strategies to build lasting relationships with peers and business partners to accomplish business goals.
