LinkOn 100W USB C Car Charger Review: Power and Reliability on the Go

For the past few weeks, the LinkOn 100W PD Usb C Car Charger has proven to be an excellent addition to my car, delivering consistent and reliable power. Operating within a standard 12V car system, this charger has performed flawlessly, providing the necessary wattage without any hiccups.

In comparison, a 140W Ugreen charger encountered issues in the same vehicle. Due to voltage drops in sockets further from the battery, the Ugreen charger failed to operate in a specific location. While it worked perfectly when directly connected to the battery, the LinkOn charger demonstrated superior performance in less ideal power conditions. Although heavier gauge cables might have resolved the Ugreen’s voltage sensitivity, the plug-and-play convenience of the LinkOn charger was preferred, eliminating the need for modifications.

Performance-wise, the LinkOn charger is impressive. It maintains a safe operating temperature and delivers a confirmed output of at least 90W, as indicated by a cable with an integrated LED display. This power delivery translates to genuinely fast charging speeds for devices like the Framework 16 laptop. The advertised specifications appear to be accurate, making it a trustworthy choice for high-power charging needs on the road.

Furthermore, the inclusion of a secondary 30W PD USB-C port adds to its versatility. This port functions reliably even when plugged into sockets with greater voltage drop, sufficient for slower charging or maintaining battery levels during less power-intensive tasks such as office work on a laptop.

The official specifications highlight the capabilities of both ports: The USB-C1 port supports PD3.0 and PPS, delivering up to 100W (ranging from 5V/3A to 20V/5A) and PPS for adaptable charging (3.3V-11V/4.05A Max 45W; 3.3V-21V/3A Max 63W). The USB-C2 port also offers PD3.0 and PPS, providing up to 30W (ranging from 5V/3A to 15V/2A) and PPS for efficient charging (3.3V-11V/3A Max 30W; 3.3V-16V/2A Max 32W). These specifications confirm the charger’s ability to handle a wide range of devices and charging requirements, making the LinkOn 100W USB C car charger a highly recommended accessory for anyone needing reliable and fast in-car charging.
